In the summer of 2023, Greenhouse Learning ran our Growing Minds summer club, to overwhelming success. We met some incredible children who are certain to become budding actors, criminologists, writers and historians. Sadly, Growing Minds will no longer return in 2024. We have decided to focus on other projects this year, which we hope to share with you soon. For now, here is your guide to Bristol holiday clubs in 2024. We hope your amazing kids enjoy these, as much as they enjoyed Growing Minds.
Zebras Holiday Club is a child-centred play scheme offering affordable and quality care during school holidays. Located at Cotham Secondary School, the club is offering full-day and half-day sessions with a variety of indoor and outdoor play opportunities and workshops for children to choose from. Each day features themed activities, such as crafts, cooking sessions and outings. They emphasise child autonomy, allowing children to opt in or out of activities as they wish.
If your child is interested in football, Soccer Shooters runs their holiday club for a variety of ages and abilities. The days combine fun activities with matches and training, and are hosted in different locations, such as Redland, Clifton College Sports Ground, and SBL Sports Centre in Bristol and Bath.
Ultimate Activity Camps is offering a range of sports, games, and crafts for children aged 4-14 during school holidays. The camp provides over 40 activities including swimming, tennis, and zorbing, set in Badminton School’s facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool, a climbing wall, sports hall, tennis/netball courts, astroturf pitches and classrooms for arts and crafts.
Fun Science offers engaging science activities suitable for children aged 4-10. Each day of the club features a different theme: Flying Forces, Dino Dig and Marvellous Magnetism. With their dynamic Science experiments and engaging topics, Fun Science emphasises providing enjoyable and educational experiences for children during school holidays.
Young Bristol’s holiday clubs are tailored for 8-19 year-olds in various Bristol locations. They offer both outdoor activity holiday clubs and community youth club holiday clubs during school breaks. These holiday clubs feature diverse activities and workshops, fostering fun and friendship among participants. They offer some free workshops and students on free school meals are prioritised.
Little Foxes Forest School Camps promise an unforgettable experience for children, providing outdoor activities that help to foster a connection with nature. Activities at the holiday camps include den building, cooking over open fires, woodwork and immersive forest explorations, aiming to spark curiosity and imagination in children.
